(St. George, UT) - Jill Porter Ehorn-Foy completed her mission on earth on Easter Morning, April 4, 2010 after a year long battle with cancer. Jill was born on July 17, 1953 in Pensacola, Florida to Skip and Joan Porter (Christie) and was the oldest of five children. Her father served in the Navy and she lived on various bases including Alameda, California, Boulder, Colorado, Lemoore, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico where she graduated from Manzano High School - Class of 1971. Jill attended Brigham Young University earning a BA in Home Economics.

During a summer break in Oakland, Clifornia she met Jeffrey T. Ehorn. They were married in the Oakland Temple in 1974 and made the Bay Area their home. They were blessed with four children. Jill taught in San Leandro at the Adult School and Roosevelt Elementary School. In 2000, Jeff and Jill moved to Hurricane, Utah where Jill taught at Three Falls and Coral Canyon Elementary. Jeff passed away in 2003 and in 2005 Jill married Brian Foy of Panguitch, Utah. Brian and Jill enjoyed golfing, traveling and being with family. Jill never gave up her love of learning and in 2006 she earned her MA in Education from SUU.

Always anxiously engaged in a good cause, Jill had endless energy and always looked on the bright side. Her “can-do” attitude was infectious and she appreciated the good she found in all people. Jill had an amazing array of talents including gardening, quilting, tennis, music & teaching. Not a day went by that she didn’t use her talents to bless the lives of others. Jill has left a legacy of service for all those who have been privileged to know her.

Jill has been a guiding light for her family. She is survived by her four children Valerie Scott (John), Jennilyn Daniels (Eric), Becky Flinders (Tim) and Joel Ehorn (Kristan) as well as her mother Joan Christie and her husband Brian Foy. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, her four siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Jill is preceded in death by her husband Jeffrey T. Ehorn, father Skip Porter and granddaughter Natalie Scott.

In lieu of flowers, Mom requested that donations be made to purchase 1st grade level books at her school. Checks payable to: Coral Canyon Elementary School; memo: Jill Ehorn-Foy; 3435 Canyon Crest Avenue, Washington, Utah 84780
