Iris D. Axelrod Sauermilch, 57, passed away on Wednesday June 9, 2010. She was the past and last president of the J. W. V. women's auxiliary of El Paso and a member of Temple Mt. Sinai. In California, she was well known and loved by the parents of pre mature infants that she would cradle rock. She was also a member of women in construction. On the lighter side, she was Queen of a local Red Hat Society. Dealing with her multiple illnesses, she maintained a positive and happy attitude throughtout her life. Ms. Sauermilch was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Sauermilch and recently grieved the loss of her mother and father Evelyn and Neal Axelrod. She is survived by her loving sister Wendy J. Axelrod, cousins Linda & Peter Axelrod, and her aunt and uncle Bernice and Harold Isaccs. Graveside service will be held on Friday June 11, 2010 at Mount Sinai Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
