He was 58 years old. Marty was born on January 4, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas to James Earl Derossett and Melba (Kirby) Derossett. During his career he worked as a sheet metal journeyman. On August 29, 1981 he married Peggy Smith in Tulsa and they raised two children. Marty is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home in Tulsa; son, Nicholas Derossett and his wife, Leesa of Bixby, OK; daughter, Jessica Derossett of Tulsa, OK; father and mother, James and Melba Derossett ; grandmother, Hazel Kirby; sister, Cathy Pennington and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Britten Knox; step-grandchildren, Beverly, Kiana, Garrett, Quinton, Jennifer, Victoria, Samantha, Josh, and Conner ; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 5, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, Tulsa, OK. Pastor Ed Bateman will officiate and music will be provided by Dick Taylor.
