She was one of the brightest, most energetic people I remember at MHS.  I learned about powder puff football from her and how she loved the pep teams.  She will be so missed by all of her family and the world around her.

Suzanne was my bestfriend and we were always together.  Such a huge hole in my heart.  Definitely one of a kind.  She will be greatly missed by so many.

Suzanne was a good friend since Hawthorne Elementary School.  Being from the east mountains, she was my buddy near the elementary school should there be an emergency that would have evacuated the school.  Remember, this was around the Cuba missile crisis.  Those days of Camp Fire Girls.  May she rest in peace and prayes with the family.

For me, Suzanne is frozen in time…it is always 1971 and there is Suzanne.…the sweet, positive, and energetic person who could in a flash, favor you with one of her iridescent smiles.

As I recall, she was class Historian. She took her responsibilities quite seriously and yet had the gentleness of spirit to laugh-off the playfull ribbing she took for it.

We did not cross paths after high school but I am certain that in the intervening years her loved ones were able to witness first hand the admirable qualities she possessed. Their loss must be heavy.  My thoughts and condolences go out to them

I have treasured memories of Suzanne Hickam (Hoefel) from high school, especially in PEP Club!!  She was a light of kindness and beacon of joy!  She understood the deep meaning of life, love and laughter. Such a blessing to have been on the receiving end of her unconditional friendship!  What a beautiful and gentle soul!

Prayers of love and comfort to her family and close friends. God bless you through your precious memories of your Mom, Grandma, sister, and beloved friend!
