Oh my gosh!  My first teenage crush.  His mother and father were very close of friends of my parents and I was blessed in spending special times at their home as we grew up.  I am fortunate to still have the great memories.

I didn't know Wes very well, but I recall him giving me a ride home in his, as I recall, yellow Roadrunner.  Beautiful car, generous guy.  Sorry to hear of another classmate's passing.

The first car Wes had was a 1969 yellow roadrunner, 4 speed. He raced Doug Lovelady one morning and lost.

I made the mistake and told Doug that when Wes became more familiar with his new car he would out run him.

I think I was promptly put in my locker by Doug. Wes was nice to all , even thoes of us that didn't live in four hills.
